3" x 18" x 24" Maple/Mahogany Butcher Block Destined to go to St. Petersburg, Russia
I have a customer in St. Petersburg, Russia who has purchased multiple boards from me (5). This is the last one he has purchased. Made from select grade hard maple with mahogany edges, glued with a type 3 cross-linked polymer glue, oiled with mineral oil and buffed with bees wax and mineral oil combination. It sits on four rubber tipped feet with the feet held in wooden holders. Weighs in at 37 pounds.
The darker mineral stains at the top are the result of the tree being tapped for syrup. I cut out the tap hole and the mineral shadow clearly shows the drill profile.
