The Forrest Mfg. Co. precision workpiece positioning fence does pretty much what you would expect from the name. This is an optional addition to most Forrest vertical blade bandsaws. The fence motion is gear rack synchronized to keep the fence parallel to the table motion. The handcrank is gives a very smooth motion. The whole mechanism feel is similar to a lathe cross slide.
