A present to someones parents.
4’ long bench with custom calligraphy done by my Mother in Law, Daria Varner. Soft Maple seat, back, & butterflies & cherry supports. Spar urethane finish.
Then JFF I included some freshly sawm 4X24X8’ & 9’ slabs waithin for their turn in the kiln. These can be resawn into several bookmatched sets! & could be for sale.

Here is bowl #12 I made recently.
It’s a large bowl (blank maxed out my lathe) made out of 624 segments. It actually took a lot longer to build the blank or make the legs than it took to turn it. The design is all myself.
I built three sets of legs (and carved all) but the first two sets didn’t look good on the bowl. Finally I decided on this shape and design.
Was the first time I tried incorporating carving into a project.
It’s about 16”x11.5”. Made out of walnut and maple finished with BLO+Shellac.
The photos are much worse than what it really looks.
